If you have 4gb RAM, you may as well switch to 64bit.

If you have and can use more than 4GB of RAM, or you want to be a step ahead, then sure, go ahead, but if you don't then there's not much in there for you.

I'm sure there's more, but this is pretty much all that's important for computer novices.
