Alright so I'm going to be building a computer and I am looking at CPU's. Now I am looking for a very high end CPU with amazing performance and it looks like Intel's i7 perform's better (I was looking at the 990x). But it is a little expensive (Priced at around $1,000). Now AMD's 6 core X6 is priced around $169 and it has amazing reviews. What do you guys think? Money really isn't an object so I could buy the 990x i7.
Go with i7 thats wat i have and i love it
Honestly hexa cores aren't well supported, and most applications won't utilize all of their power.

However if money is not an issue, and a hexa for optimal power is desired, I would definitely go for the 990x.
^^ Agreedd with him 1000000000000%
if money isnt a problem i would say the 990x it is really nice.

Ya, I think I will go with the 990x, crazy price comparison between the two companies.
Intel for life =3 lol

I always find intel runs better, but that's just my opinion and I'm loving the I7s
i got a i7 970 from intell for $300 from retail edge and i love it
Yes. I bought one before for $350 retail. Its pretty good
I'm an intel fan, but being a tightass isn't always a bad thing. You might surprise yourself and get a sweet deal, for something that surpasses your expectations.
