Dude, huskies have the softest furs, and they're really loyal and comfortable.

You should get a French Bulldog! I've just got one, I love it. It's so playful and it loves to sleep on your lap and stomach and such, they are quite awesome!

I had another discussion with a member on a different forum, pitbulls are out of the question for me, thanks for your answer though

Pitbull, bulldog, same old thing xD They are both mean dogs, bulldogs even meaner than pitbulls.

Get a westie terrior or a labrador

Everyone keeps saying labradors and retrivers, i don't think i want those types of dogs. I am almost definitely going to try to get a husky

Well there are many things you have to ask yourself before getting a pet, especially one like a dog.
1. Does your family have allergies? If so you will be best off getting a short haired dog, so It doesn't carry as much dander.
2. Who will be walking the dog? If you have a little sister who will need to walk the dog, you don't want a big dog like a St. Bernard, or a purebred lab, because they might not be able to control the leash. These dogs also eat more, which costs more.
