How To Check If A Site Is Down

Now i made this thread because im seeing people making threads like ''is HF down''. Now there are a few ways to check if a site is down theres no need to make a thread about it.

What to do
1 way to do this would be to go to http://www.downforeveryoneorjustme.com/ and enter the name of the website you want to check is down, and it will tell you. It is right all the time, never once let me down and i use it whenever a site seems to be down.

Another way would be to go to start>run>cmd> then type ''ping'' without quotes and then space and the name of the website then hit enter.

If you get ''reply from ........'' then the site is up. If you get ''request timed out''. Then the site is down.

I hope this helps some of you and you use it before making a thread Smile

Oh and im sorry if this aint the right section, didnt know where to post it.

Very nice tut, i use cmd to ping the ip all the time.
Thanks for the tut.
