Hanging from a bar like suggested above would most likely extend your vertebra, giving you the appearance of a higher height. Next, bones improves bone density and strength through absorbing calcium. It doesn't not make you get taller.
Here's a small lesson:
Your bones are mainly cartilage to start and continually grow up through puberty. The calcified matrix that makes your bones strong tries to catch up with the cartilage and eventually does so after you're done growing. Therefore, there is no logical way with current technology and without harming yourself, to get taller. Sorry.

That's very informative sir, but don't you need calcium so that the cartilage in your epiphyseal plates would calcify? Just a little thought...

Height isn't like weight, you can't just change it. You have to deal with the height you are giving and learn to cope with it.
You can never just change your height at the current state of technology, maybe in later years if we come up with some science for it.

You can't change your height. Theres a bone in your hand called a growth plate. That is what dentists read to accurately predict how tall you will grow.

It's for braces and stuff. It's an optional procedure to see how big your child will get. It's just for shits & grins, but it's accurate.

A lot of it is genetics, however it can be argued that eating certain things will help. I used to think Carrots helped and I ate a crap load of them as a child. I'm currently 155 LB's/15 Years/5 Ft 11 In

It's all genetics, you can't magically grow yourself.
