I own three macs. I just think they are too much for what i could do on linux on a piece of crap computer for free almost. Just doesn't add up. A extra 20 minutes of work doesn't make me feel bad.
Steve Jobs has been quoted saying how they need to goto Microsoft for coding because (basically) they are hardware guys and can only make a pretty box.

Anyone who has owned a Mac for a long period of time, has learned how to use it well, has actually taken advantage of its capabilities would not say that. I'm going to go ahead and conclude you either did not own it for a long period of time or you never knew how to use it well. Hell, you probably never even touched the terminal. That's probably the sad truth...I'm sorry.
I dont know your experience about MAC's but for me, I use it all times at uni, it has some good features and wonderful theme design. I find it quick and easy applications. BUT seriously and so honestly, for me, i find it not very friendly and cant get used to it at all. I have been using it for 2 years, it's good for browsing, doing assignments, i mean it's still hard for me to like the OS and design features. So, it's just normal for me but not interested to own one in my home.
A user going from Windows to Mac might not like or appreciate it as much as a user coming from a *nix background.

I'm a *nix- Linux user. I hate how Linux gets compaired to Mac. They are not the same in no way expect UNIX.
