It's average. Not bad for a first attempt though.
To make it last for 5 seconds at the end, just extend your timeline.. If you're working at 25FPS, then you will need an extra 125 frames, if you're working on 30FPS, then you'll need 150 frames, etc...
By the way the colours don't really fit the exploding effect.

What FPS? Sorry I am totally new.
Frames Per Second.
Go to your Project Settings, and make sure whatever the FPS value there is, matches your FPS value in your render settings.
It also seems kinda choppy, try making it more HQ.
In addition to what everyone else has said I dont really like the colours however this is down to personal preference.
It's good. As said above, though, the colors are kind of cheesey :3
