Not professional at all. I prefer looking at someones rep and seeing custom comments on how the person has helped the community. What we got now is just fine.

I'm not against the thanks button,but if you really appreciate the work of your fellow member then you can plus rep him or a classic comment on his thread would be great.

The reputation system is more useful.
