If your at all like me you hate seeing the My Documents etc.
Given i have multiple partitions and multiple drives it seems kind of useless.
(Prob why vista dont have it)
Anyway here is how to do it.

1. Run regedit or similar registry editing tool (start/run/regedit).
2. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\MyComputer\NameSpace\DelegateFolders.
3. Right-click the subkey {59031a47-3f72-44a7-89c5-5595fe6b30ee} and Delete it.
4. Close regedit and your done.

*EDIT*
This only deletes the shortcut within My Computer. The file structure remains intact. You can navigate to My Documents and Shared Documents.
No files will be lost.

Is this reversible also?

Not that i am aware of no.

Well I was just wondering. It's really not important enough to keep around anyways.

They still exist within C just the shortcut is gone. But nothing will be lost or anything like that ofcourse.

Oh okay. Sorry so it's just the removal of the shortcut. I get it now. I thought you meant everything. It's getting late and I've been on the forums all day. Bleh.

Because I have the same type of setup as you (multiple partitions over multiple hard drives) could I change My documents to C:
Shared documents to E:

So on so forth?

I would say it is reversible!

If you copy the key, before you delete or zero the value of the data, then re-importing the key should put it back to it's original state.
