It's been 2 weeks since you posted this thread, are you still experiencing problems? If you are, it's more than likely your router. I recommend ringing your ISP for further help as they may be able to offer you a replacement router. If the problem persists, if you're connecting wirelessly, you may need to update your drivers or even the hardware itself. If you're connecting via ethernet, you may need to replace the cable. You need to make sure all your hardware is in working condition and nothing is damaged; this includes your router, computer and/or laptop.
