You'll have to check with them about FTP access. I can't tell if they give it to you or not.

Don't know if you'll see this, but, you need access to FTP to run a forum. That is why free hosts fail. Buy a domain, buy hosting, then you will have FTP access. If you can't afford $10/year for a domain and at least $5/month for hosting you need to find a new hobby.
Yeah a forum on a host with no FTP can only go so far, you're very limited as to what you can do. There are free hosts that give you FTP access but decent paid hosting often isn't much.
