If I were you, I'd still try to maintain a very good friendship. If you think she wouldn't want you, because of conflicting personalties, just ask her to tell you what she thinks.

You don't break up with a girl because of what other think.

It's not what others think, it's what I thought.
I just knew that her friends didn't like me, they were the hick type of girls.

Opposites attract, it's not a right decision it's a decision you made - heck if you don't like her or think it won't work out then that's that!
