Wow that really sucks, I use to have really bad internet but now we upgraded to a new ISP and its much better

When i had the same situation,I upgraded my modem software.
After that i checked my net speed using
http://www.scanmyspeed.com/ I was really amazing about my internet speed.
Try to keep your browser settings clean by removing all unnecessary entries such as cache, cookies and history with some suitable computer cleaning software. I use WinMD Pro and it is good.
