A friendly text message or a PM on facebook perhaps would get the communication going again. You don't have to ask her to do anything, just ask her how her day was, or anything to remind her that you're just there for her if she needs you.
Despite everything I believe you handled that pretty well just continue to be mates and perhaps she may want to get back with you however untill be on the lookout for someone else.
