Bloody Mary is the source of many legends around the world; but how did she get her name? Bloody Mary got her nickname when
she became the queen of England and forced the the nation to convert to the Roman Catholic religion by penalty of death. About 300
people refused this and were killed because of it. Many of them were burned at the stake. Bloody Mary, or Queen Mary, was determined
to convert England and she did so at the cost of much death and bloodshed.
