Are programs such as TuneUp Utilities Auslogics BoostSpeed proven to be effective?

I have used them and I never really could tell a big difference in the performance and speed of my computer, but it may vary for other people.
They become more effective the longer you have had your computer but they don't make a big difference.
There may be a noticable difference for some people but not for the majority.
But it does the job? I always thought it was just big companies trying to get you to spend money. Tongue
Tuneup is very effective, i use it and it cleans out your computer very well..recommended
Yes they are for general optimization and cleaning. In addition to those two, i find Advanced Systemcare a benefical program too as it does the same as those and is IMO the best along with Tuneup Utilities 2011.

Yes, but on 3 different computers Smile Advanced Systemcare on laptop, Auslogics and Tuneup on desktops, other running Windows Xp (Tuneup) and other running Windows Vista (Auslogics, but it's not my computer. It is my friends which he gave me to fix)

Yeah. Whenever I use one of these programs, I always see negative effects instead of positive. Pinch
