I personally think the stars are fine the way they are.
The only thing I would like changed with them is, if groups could create their own stars but I don't think Omniscient will allow that here and it's not important anyway. 
I like the custom stars idea.

You can do lots of things, make the stars match the color of the group, etc..
Hm, it might look a bit obnoxious with all of the colors. But it seems like a good idea.

It's the same as for HF. Starts represent the post count (If not upgraded member) and i guess it represents your status too, as you can see there is a little text showing your current status under the stars.
Sigh, I've explained already. Your custom title changes on post count up to your star count for a normal member. I have the highest custom title and star level available to me as a normal user.

What I meant is, after 250 posts you don't get anymore stars unless you're in another usergroup. That could be changed.

it could be changed, but why would Omniscient change it, if users got any more stars he would just have to bump up how many stars the moderators get as well as himself. More stars for no reason.
