I got pretty sad, I didn't cry but I just thought about it for the next couple of weeks.
I have not lost a pet yet to which I have a strong emotional connection with, but my dog whom which I love is 13 years old and probably only has another few years left if she's lucky. When she passes away me and my family will be heartbroken, we plan on getting her cremated and putting her in a nice urn.
I waited a few months before I finally got a new dog. Losing a pet sucks. Sad
Well my cat still didn't die, I'm hoping she would live long enough. But that day would come anyway, and I will probably just like the rest of you cry (yes, I'm not a pussy to admit that I care about animals) for like a long long time. :S Damn, I wish that day wouldn't even exist!
I remember when I was 9 and my cat run away, I started crying so bad..

The topic is what do/did you do when your first pet passed away lol, not ran away.
I cried the first time one of my cats died.
I cried my eyes out, literally. I was sad for days. It was the hardest thing I experienced as a small kid.
I had pet fish in one bowl. They all died. I flushed them down the toilet. Didn't really feel sympathetic.

Both are sad none the less, one is just a bit more extreme.
