I was using a custom plugin on my 1.4 install, but then i upgraded and it has build in support - via the ACP i added new thread prefixes but i don't see how i can use them.

In my 1.4 install, they can up next to the thread subject under a new thread.

Anyone had any experience with this?

Thank you.
Have you reverted all of your templates to default?? If it's still the 1.4 version of the template, it's not going to contain the new code to show them.
Actually, I've yet to use thread prefixes. But in 1.6 you no longer need the plugin, so if you're trying to use it via the plugin just uninstall it and use the built in feature.

I think that's what you meant though, right? You're using the built in feature?
@MattR
Reverted to default? I set my theme as the "Defualt" MyBB blue one, instead of the orange mcompute one, went to make a new thread and here's the screeny.

sorry, it's pretty big.

My mcompute orange is probably 1.4 compatible, but the Defualt MyBB should be 1.6?

@Brandon

I know, i've uninstalled the 1.4 plugin and now i have no plugin features. I want to use the build in feature in 1.6.

Thank you.
Try clearing your servers cache if you have root access.
I don't have root access.
Not the default theme, the templates need to be reverted to default. ACP > Templates & Style > Templates > New Thread Templates > newthread > if it's green press Options > Revert to Original.
I can't see any New Thread Templates under the ACP > Templates ?
Oh, expand your template set first.
Still can't see anything resembling that. Sad

Image spoilered.
