I know SF is not the place for really caring about rep. But today this just annoyed me.
A good member here who offers quite alot gets this?



Hell i have been guilty of such things myself. But at least i do them transparently. Never annon! And try update them often to reflect my views.

I think Anonymous rep really should be scrapped here Omni!
It should stop these silly actions.
Dont wanna start a fight. Just wanna start a debate on it.
I think SF will benefit from such transparency given we are about being open and honest. Avatars as pics of actual members as a good example.

Dunno perhaps more active monitoring of such things?
If i am stepping over the line please let me know.

Yes, anonymous rep should be removed, this hides the user.

Look -rep works well. Even here.
But anon rep takes away from SF IMHO.
I really think SF is about transparency but may well be wrong.

I think that anon negative rep should not be allowed for negative repping. Positive repping sounds like it's not as much as a problem. People who negative rep anon are just afraid that I will be mean back or something stupid. Oh well. The rep wont be removed

Look nothing wrong with -rep. Hell look at mine. I have a few.
And people are entitled to that thought.
It reflects the wider community's views IMHO.
I can be a prick and my reputation reflects that.
But anon rep is really cowardly. I think it should be removed as an option within the rep system period.
If i had -20 right now i would not change my views as there my views. Not my opinions based on rep count.
And i dont think people would tolerate rep abuse here.
If it was to be then a simple report will do.
Dunno. Just thought it was worth a debate.

You got a lot of them, lol I don't have any but im used to it from hfs.

To show my stance i would be willing to go back to 0 or even -50.

I am thinking about the community here. Not myself.
I could not care less what my rep is.
I rely on my posts to do the talking.

We have had lots of threads about this.
I reckon 70% of people would want it removed.
Personally I think we should keep it but, be able to report reps that are completely inappropriate and don't help.
Moderators and admins can see anonymous reps so I think really stupid ones should be removed by them.
Omniscient likes the anonymous rep so I don't think it will be removed.

SF rep system is great, with little bugs(abusers).
But anon system totally spits it out and steps on it TBH.

If people have to -rep with their name, rep abuse wouldn't be a problem here.
Or atleast would be less of it.

I agree, get rid of the anon -rep, there have already been like 5 debates about this haha
