I have 3 hard drives, 1 main and 2 slave drives or how ever you call 'em.
Well, these 2 others aren't working fine, when ever I open them, my CPU goes to 100% and PC starts lagging
How old are your slave drives?
Does your system run fine when your not looking in them?
If so then you may find one of them is on its way out.
Have you noticed any scratching sort of noised from them?
Just take it out, clean it and put in again.
1. I don't know how old, but few years for sure.
2. Yes, my system is fine, without touching them.
4. No scratching noise.

@Vampire.
I have cleaned them once already, did not fix it.
By open do you mean plug it in, or just double click it?

You may need more power supply.
Since you said you haven't reformatted in awhile, back up all your important files, reformat and reinstall. If that doesn't work then your HDDs may be on their way out.
Do complete scandisk and tick for mark bad sectors.
well only being a few years old is pretty new? maybe reformat?

I dont agree. I have had drives only a year old die on me.
It does happen.
What version of windows do you run?
I ask because i think vista had a different method of casheing files on drives?
I might be wrong there but it would interest me to know.
I remember a similar problem many years ago when i tried vista and because i have huge slave drives with loads of stuff on them it took ages for the drives to appear.
Hmm you could be connecting to them on the wrong speed or it is really lagging when you are trying to connect to them(Which can be common) try diskchecking them like suggested and see if that speeds it up a bit.
