Thats my first time EVER using GIMP..

What do you think?

What did you do to it? Did you work from a render?

No, just a regular background and a cutout of master chief.

And i mixed the colors and crap, and added brushes.

Not bad actually. I kind of like it.

blur the left b4 the planet (i think thats waht that is) starts to create depth
dodge the left side so the lighting is more present

maybe add effects if u feel comfortable doing so
if not then just leave it as is
