what i do for my boarders usually is just have a line on the top and bottom
i got to:
Select>All
Select>Modify>Border
i use 5px and fill it with black using alt+backspace (make sure ur colors are at default b&w b4 u try and fill)
then i take the marquee tool and select everything inbtwn the top and bottom lines of the border and delete it

u get a border like this:

Will look good without the border. You can also try burning/dodging a border on the top an bottom only. Make it 3px.

Yeah i usually go with that or the original 1px full border but i combined them, not sure why haha thanks guys.

Um you do know your not meant to post the picture anywhere else before the SOTW is over
It hasn't even started yet actually.

Also don't use that white border it really doesn't suit.

Is this for a current or past SOTW?

The first one is quite epic, you are pretty good.

I really like the simplicity of this sig. I agree with bkotz though, you really should thin out the border.
