Hello.

After a few failed attempts to bring it back because I actually couldn't figure how to restore SQL databases without being redirected to my old (now non-existent) free 000webhost domain and getting an error, I brought it back without restoring the databases so a few posts were lost. And all the users...

Anyways, I'm starting from scratch here so please help me with any suggestions you have.

This is what it looks like when I restore the DB's:

Thanks in advanced.
Damn should have put a help thread out on how to fix the DB errors instead of a post on how to get members?
Too many sections. Reduce your Philosophy category to 4 sections, expand with activity.

Much as I like Justin's work, I suggest considering themes other than his Apart series. See MyBB themes by Audentio Design, MiniMalist by FMB and Combus, 1point6 by Rhydian and Svizy, and others from MyBB Resources.

A banner and a favicon is also required.
First of, since your domain isn't a .com nor a real word, I'd put it in somewhere in the logo so that new members remember it.

Good use of the tabs but I agree that there are too many sections. You should generalize a couple of them for now until your forum gets more active otherwise it looks empty. Also, what's the purpose of the "links" section? Is it for downloads or something? I think you could actually just use a thread to keep track of all phil. related links...
Thanks for the suggestions. I was having some trouble accessing the site.

Hmm alright, there is too many categories.

Most forums don't even use .com domains.
A few do, but the majority of them use .net
I reduced the Philosophy section a little and added a few themes to choose from the User CP.
It looks nice now with the new changes.

Also, I like how the tabs change, a lot.
Thanks for the feedback.
I will look into joining, as I am very interested in discussing Philosophy, Religion, etc.

I'll sign up later! Thumbsup
