I don't really understand any of the words that are said in poetry, do you have to know sophisticated words like that to writ it??
no, poetry can really be anything, simple or sophisticated.
My name is Sam and I like ham and if you don't I don't give a damn.

There we go simple and easy poetry Big Grin Big Grin
but that's rhyming, most poems on here don't rhyme
Yeh I know, I guess you should just pick a topic and try and write about what it is and how it makes you feel.

My poems rhyme. Although, I haven't posted them here. Lol.

Rhyming is just a personal preference, I, personally, love it. Poetry can come in all forms, words, length, patterns, etc. Your possibilities are only limited by your creativity.
ReaLiTy, I just want to say that it depends on you that how type of poetry you want to write and the other thing is that I don't think that any poetry need any of the special word. That comes atomically comes in our mind when we make that.
I try to make my poetry rhyme.
You really have to feel the words and shape them so that it sounds good to you.

Don't try to push it or you'll just end up messing up.
Let the words flow, and it'll sound good.

Just an FYI, you'll probably rewrite a part more than once so have a little patience and wait until something is perfectly the way you want it before moving on. If you get to far then realize that you messed up the beginning you'll most likely have to start over.

When I mess up at the beginning I usually just give up and find a new topic.
im gonna try to make a haiku about sf :d
