I heard Apple products sucks with software. Good luck finding stuff.
I suggest the following:
-adobe photoshop CS5 (like a baws)
-Final cut pro X
-Microsoft Office WORD
-Utorrent
-COD
i have a macbook pro also, never looked back. had it a year now <3
Garage band comes on your mac. Or it did for me.
Imovie if you don't have it. Its a very good software that is perfect for recording videos.
I would look up videos on youtube for help, like how to open multi things at once and such. It helped me alot
