I usually end up not being able to sleep because I'm simply uncomfortable, or relaxed. That, or my mind just wont shut the hell up.
I try to just clear my mind, and relax, and find somewhere comfortable to sleep. That usually does the trick.
To be honest I try for a bit, when I give up I open my phone and do the following.
- Catch Netflix, Hulu Plus, or Crackle. (Android is awesome.)
- Browse several forums or check up on my sites.
- Go to the PC or the PS3 and do some web administration or gaming.
Black Metal helps me calm down and put me to sleep. You guys should try it.
I can usually find myself watching t.v. or playing some video games.
If I find the need for sleep, I try to induce sleep upon myself by listening to music.
When I cannot sleep I normally just get on the computer and start doing work. Make some posts in some forums, Check my email, Make sure all my sites are running properly and by that time I am too tired to stay up anymore and sleep well.
I just read a little bit and then i'm tired.
I read some ebooks about coding or anything what interests me on my iPod touch in bed, every 30 minutes try to sleep.

I have been having the same problem, which leads to me sleeping all day and staying up all night :/
I browse the internet randomly until I have to pass out.
