my cousin had a replacement from a RRoD xbox and it was so much louder than my jasper chipped xbox

Why don't you buy new xbox slim? so you don't have to risk your Xbox.
Just save the game to your hard drive. It makes a differance.
xboxes are pretty sillent as it is, i dont even notice when im playing and i bet you dont.
